The Flow of a Presell Site

Here is an illustration of the flow of a Presell Site:

It’s four pages deep. But the number is irrelevant. It could be 2 or 10 (or 50, in theory, although I’ve never personally built out a PS that large).

Traffic enters at the one end. Blazing hot prospects take a desired action at the other end and ascend to the next tier of your SOI.

The CTA (call-to-action) should ideally be the mechanism to get them onto your email list (UNLESS the purpose of the PS is to play a “supporting role” in the broader movie).

The typical way to move someone deeper down the rabbit hole is a simple opt-in form.

But this can be “disguised” as a free membership signup. Same result, different framing, different dynamics and different expectation.

You can of course just link out to an affiliate offer. I’ve done this many times, like this PS below that I built in 2007 when I was still operating as a full-time affiliate:

(I usually omit the email element while I’m testing my PS. Then once validated, I will add an email to build an asset.)

Ultimately the end game is always to build a list (asset).

That’s a PS in a nutshell.

It’s simple on the surface.

Yet the foundations run deep and are complex (the part that on the surface people never see). {grin}

Presell Sites don’t operate in isolation. They’re part of a much larger strategy (invisible to people looking in from the outside).

When I first started building these bad boys they were as stand-alone entities. Only later did I realize the far more significant power in contextually linking them together.

I now call multiple linked Presell Sites within one market, a Presell World. It’s your presell world that makes up your entire sphere of influence.

You can think of your primary business asset (or brand money site) as the head of an octopus:

… with the legs being the various presell sites — each a channel that funnels in a specific pocket of people who are attracted to you, and predisposed to your message.

Let’s zoom in on that next…
